Introduction to Gulf Harbors United (GHU)
We would like to introduce Gulf Harbors UNITED (“GHU”). We understand that not all Gulf Harbors property owners live in our sub-division year round. We also respect the fact that many of us work full time and are not always available to attend meetings that potentially affect our taxes, our property values, and our community. GHU membership is based on property ownership. We are NOT associated with the Gulf Harbors Civic Association. Our main focuses will deal with serious issues that affect us as property owners.
As you are aware, Gulf Harbors does not have an H.O.A. that would normally deal with issues affecting our properties; therefore, some of us have decided that it is time for us to be more informed, and more active. We plan to attend the Board of County Commissioners hearings as well as any other “official meetings” to keep informed on upcoming issues. We already have a member on the sub-division F.G.U.A. sub-division “water Committee.” We intend to present facts for all to consider, and to take action, if necessary.
GHU is a 501 (c) 3 Community Organization, to which all donations are tax-deductible. Donations will be the principal source of income for our organization. We are also in the process of updating our Web site: GulfHarborsUnited.org, where we will be posting all sorts of information, issues, meeting videos, etc.
Our first task is to deal with the Gulf Harbors former golf course property. The County and the Gulf Harbors Civic Association presented us with a “deal” last year as a great opportunity. We discovered differently. In order for you to understand all that this involves, please visit Nextdoor.com / Gulf Harbors Voice and read what we have uncovered. We will soon be posting on our website as well. If you have any questions, please write us at email@example.com. You can also view our presentation of facts on youtube.com by searching “Gulf Harbors golf course update Nov. 16 2017”. A lawsuit was filed by Diane Kobernick, one of our neighbors, that has allowed us time to uncover the above mentioned information. Although the lawsuit was filed “pro se”, she has since had to hire an attorney to bring the lawsuit to a favorable conclusion.
Another task GHU is involved with is working for a resolution for our water issues in Gulf Harbors. We will be updating you on our findings.
Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to Gulf Harbors UNITED to help us defray costs of fighting to protect all Gulf Harbors property owners from unfair and oppressive taxation without representation. Any amount will be appreciated and can be mailed to the above address. For credit card payments, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank You Gulf Harbors UNITED
